GRC will be fine. They like Corbin will only get better once they have all their players back from football, injuries, etc. It was one of those perfect storm kinda things. Guess you had to be there to believe it. Maybe these two teams will get a rematch in the Sweet 16 if they can both win their regions. You have to remember there is alot of basketball to be played between now and the state tournament.

Corbin is a very solid team, a team that will be in Rupp come March, but they are not a top 10 team. Top 20 easily though.

 

I think people are taking these scrimmages too seriously. If you honestly believe any team is better than GRC by 41 points then your mistaken. It was a horrible scrimmage, they couldn't get anything going on offense. They were missing wide open 3 after 3 and that affected their defense. It will take time for this team to mesh and figure each other out. But when they do, watch out. Corbin also shot the ball very well so that had something to do with it. With the football players getting back into the swing of things, GRC will hit their stride around Christmas and be more than ready come post season. :thumb:

 

I'll say this, Corbin is more of a top 10 team than GRC. That's for sure. You can say Corbin shot the bell well and that had something to do with the win, well maybe Corbin's outhustling and WAY BETTER defensive pressure and overall talent played a role in the outcome, too. I guess everything GRC did wrong was self-imposed and Corbin was just lucky to win by almost seven touchdowns.:madman::mad::sssh:

You know, GRC might be better once they get their football players in, but Corbin also has some key football players that will play a role in the Redhounds' success this season.

Any chance the Corbin/Whitley basketball game gets moved to Saturday because of the football games?

I have been hearing rumors of the Corbin Whitley game being moved to Thursday. This is the best day to me because it is the day before a big football game, and therefore not being after a big football game and maybe getting the players tired for a Saturday night game. But it is supposed to be on Thursday for anyone wanting to know.

I totally agree about the statement that Corbin is not 41 points better on any day other than today. I also stand by my thoughts in another post that some posters on here from Winchester were raising the bar too high on this team too quickly. I agree they will be a solid team later in the season, but I also stumbled across some thinking the ticket was punched to Rupp, which I clearly believe there is about 4 teams that might differ in the region.:eek:

I think if you look back at the polls and threads you will find very few GRC "fans" saying anything about cutting the nets down in Rupp. The reality is we have a young very talented team and we WILL be a team to reckon with this season and the next three at least! We are Clark County and we are proud of our teams no matter what the scoreboards, polls, or other fans say! Seems like people hate GRC and will take thier jabs whenever they can. Enjoy this pre season because I think we have just begun a period when you will hear a lot about our team!

They will be fine before tourney time. I agree with you there are several teams that could make it to rupp.A few may have their ticket punched but I don't think they have scheduled the party yet. Couldn't resist PR.:lol::lol:

IMO, Mason, Clark, Montgomery, Scott and Campbell will all be in the running.:ylsuper:

Most in the 13th (many will not admit on here) expect Corbin to easily cut the 13th region nets down this year. Should have happened last year. Some feel that a superior coach stood in the way. Let's see how the season unfolds before we claim superiority after a couple of scrimmages.

I dont think ANYONE in the 13th expects Corbin to "easily cut the 13th region nets down" Alot of people probably feel that they have a good shot at it, but easily cut the nets down/Not. They have a strong veteran team, but I dont believe they are a top 10 team in the state. As for the 13th region, until someone can dethrone South Laurel they are the team to beat IMO.
