Most in the 13th (many will not admit on here) expect Corbin to easily cut the 13th region nets down this year. Should have happened last year. Some feel that a superior coach stood in the way. Let's see how the season unfolds before we claim superiority after a couple of scrimmages.

I think Knox Central Clay South will all have something to say about that the 13th is wide open and 4 or 5 teams can win it but not easily. Not even Corbin.

Corbin is a very solid team, a team that will be in Rupp come March, but they are not a top 10 team. Top 20 easily though.

 

I think people are taking these scrimmages too seriously. If you honestly believe any team is better than GRC by 41 points then your mistaken. It was a horrible scrimmage, they couldn't get anything going on offense. They were missing wide open 3 after 3 and that affected their defense. It will take time for this team to mesh and figure each other out. But when they do, watch out. Corbin also shot the ball very well so that had something to do with it. With the football players getting back into the swing of things, GRC will hit their stride around Christmas and be more than ready come post season. :thumb:

Interesting to note that BGP came out with their HS rankings today and Corbin is #8 and GRC is #9. Guess the scrimmage moved Corbin up (vs. Herald Leader and CJ polls that were before the scrimmage) and moved GRC down a little. GRC was higher in the two other polls and Corbin was way down toward the end.

The scrimmage did not mean much and neither do the rankings. Im sure GRC will be good and I know the Hounds are going to be tough as well.

GRC isn't a top 10 team either.

Clark is young but Stenzel and Hatton have played key minutes the last two years and they should be veteran leaders.

All it did was show they was vurnable because they are young. They will still be a force to reckon with this year and the next few to come! :thumb:

I feel like something of an idiot...it may have been in another thread...but, who is "Coach Crawford?"

 

Some of you obviously know him well and evidently he is well thought of in your neck of the woods...just give the rest of us, who are out of the loop, a little background on the coach and what he brings to the table.

 

Coach John Crawford is a former star at Corbin and Transy. He could have easily been a top head coach if he had chosen to pursue it. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Hound's bench.
