Corbin 85 George Rogers Clark 44 Scrimmage

Featured Replies

Nice recap Les. I look for Corbin to have a great year this year and hope they do.:thumb:Not sure who #41 was...did they wear practice jerseys? Cards got off to a slow start last season... and ended up 22-8, looks like the same this year. Coach will have the Cards ready come post season.

No. 41 was the UK recruit.

Wow. Corbin is a very good team but the outcome of this shocks me.

Maybe EC isn't as good as some thought?? I know it's only a scrimmage but two blow out losses doesn't bode well for the Cards.

What in the world does this game have to do with EC being good?

Clark Co lost a lot with the injury, Travis Purvis could score inside and was a very good rebounder at 6'7.In the 2 scrimmages , the shooting was poor and ball movement was slow, too many mental mistakes and turnovers. Football sets the boys that play back about a month. They need to be more intense. I think they're ranked on what they did last year while only losing one player. It may take them a while to get in the grove. They have some new players on the team and it takes a while to learn one another's thinking and movements. Just hang loose!!!!!!!!! Elliot Co is a very, very good team and so is Corbin and both will probably be in the sweet sixteen;):ylsuper::thumb:

The implication that Elliott County won by only 21 while Corbin wins by 40-plus.

I would say Corbin is a very good team. Hats off to Crawford for fighting back from injury. He's a fighter.

Which means what?

From what I saw*41 did not hit a shot today, and only attempted 3 or 4, seemed really slow to me. Corbin today was much better than I expected them to be. Josh Crawford looked better today than he has since he was maybe a soph. I agree Coach Crawford brings something to the table for Corbin, a good addition. GRC has many tools and will get much better as the season goes on I really liked #44 and #21.

I agree on all of the above. The Cards got off to a slow start last year and by the Christmas tourney we were fine, and rolled through the AIT. I still have faith in our Cards.:thumb:

Ask the poster who initially posted it. He was the one to imply a 40 point win proves more than a 20 point win. Its all preseason, right?

I'll go ahead and tell you what it means - nothing. :thumb:

Keep this on the scrimmage...not each other...take it to PM's.:irked:

Yeah No. 41 never really got into the flow of things. He played good defense at times, but got burned at times, too. But that's why you play scrimmages — to get better. He's only a sophomore and he's only going to get better.

I dont know if it is just me or what but the most over looked player and the biggest part for the teams success in the 13th is Isaac Wilson for Corbin. You always hear of all these other great players in the 13th I dont see why anyone respects this kid. But maybe I am crazy I just wanted to express my opinion tho.

Isaac is a great kid and player for Corbin. Read a post that I made above and I stated he played a good game.

Biggest thing Corbin needs to believe in is each other. There are many out there that want to rip them apart this year. Regardless if Crawford, Johnson, Manns, Smith, Wilson or whoever scores the most on a given night, the end result is a Redhound win. I agree, Wilson is a very good player for the Hounds. But the same can be said for any of about 7 ot 8 kids. A true team, works together, plays together and wins together. I recall this group of Hounds beating South Laurel on their homecourt by 26 points in December and then standing on the sidelines watching the Cardinals cutting down the nets at Knox Central as 13th regional champions in March. Corbin has a long way to go. The only way to get there is with hard work and total dedication. Is ------- the reason the Hounds have won tonight or is it simply they had the better team in November. Only the members of the team can make that decision. Basically the Corbin team has all the parts. It is up to them to see how far they can advance.
