Execution

In your opinion what is right...

Just because someone is in jail doesn't mean that they will be there forever, there are jail breaks and everything. If you are sentenced to life in prison then you are not getting out so why let them live? If it is 100% that they did it then I don't want my tax dollars paying for someone that killed someone.... You can try to justify as much as you want but as I said when it comes to my FAMILY, they come first and if something were to happen to them then you better believe I want to see that person's life taken from them the same way he or she took my family's life.

1. So, once again, you support the bombing of abortion clinics?

2. You keep bringing up "in my opinion." In your opinion, is the taking of life as a retributive act an ethical act?

3. It is more expensive (due to the large appeals process) to execute someone than keep them in prison for life. If you want numbers, I will get them.

4. How can you be 100% sure?

5. Are you implying that I don't care about my family? I most certainly do. I just don't see death of another person as a benefit to me.

For me, it boils down to a post made by Getslow in a thread from a while back:

If it is not within your power to give someone life, then it seems to me presumptuous to think you have the privilege to hand out death. That's how I feel about it anyway.

It doesn't get more cut and dry then that.

We are able to give life, but it takes a man and a woman to do so. Perhaps it should be a duo that carries out the execution...:D

anyone on here read the book about the Amish and how they forgave the man that went on the killing rampage in their school. I wish I was as "christian" as they are . . . i fail often but I do not agree in the death penalty.

Just hurry up and get them before they are born right.:thumb:

Personally i think Kentucky needs to be like Texas.

I can not believe that people are comparing the killing of unborn babies who have not had a chance at all to live...to serving justice for the cold blooded killers that have had thier chance to be a part of society and blown it by stabbing and raping innocent children and women.

^ I can not believe you typed that....I was reading through this thread, waiting until the bottom to post the EXACT SAME THING....that's great.

Great minds.....:thumb:

EDDYVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky has executed a confessed child-killer who resisted all appeals.

In the state's first execution in nine years, 37-year-old Marco Allen Chapman was given a lethal injection Friday at the Kentucky State Penitentiary. He was pronounced dead at 7:34 p.m. CST.

He's gone. He got BETTER than he deserverd...

That's what I'm saying...

This man got what He wanted...To me that's wrong...He should have been made to live with what he had done for the rest of his life...

Solitary confinement until death...His cell should have pictures of the victims on the walls...And a television that plays over and over news reports about his crime...

I'm against the death penalty, but FWIW I would have ZERO problem with that right there.

No way that would ever happen though, psychologist would have a field day.
