We are all glossing over the fact that the inflamatory headline is not what he said in the article.

Fans are very irrational, no coach deserves all of the flak they get....only some!

I don't disagree with you but I think there are alot of irrational coaches in this world too. Plus I think Rich is a bit of a slim ball.

I don't know those guys (Henry/Jones) track record at WVU, but they did win quit a few games. Just because they didn't pan out in the real world, don't mean Rod mad a poor choice, simply they were bad kids, from a bad background given an opportunity. They are responsible for their actions, but fall back on the head coach no matter what, but he kept on keeping on and winning. It happens to all programs that you'll recruit a few that fall through the cracks but have all the hype and potential.

A program can't be changed overnight and within a year, maybe two but once a good recruiting class to fit the style of play the Head Coach brings, then more success will be provided. If you are a loyal fan, support your team and coaches, staff, administration and be patient.

If you are calling 'RR' a bad guy for taking on a challenge at UM, you must not know much about coaching at all :sssh:

I'm calling him a slime ball because it's true. No more, no less...

I agree completely. He is my least favorite coach in NCAA football not named Nick Saban or Bobby Petrino. But I can't imagine the death threats and such that he has received.

I feel like shouting the same thing in UK threads a lot of times.

:thumb: I can agree with this.

Realistically I believe that everyone knew that it was going to take some time for him to get his system and players in place. Having said that, Rich Rod is a bum and deserves every loss and/or critisizm that he gets. He (RR) thinks that he is above the Michigan football program. No One is above the program (any program).....not players, coaches or anyone.

"Raunch Rod"s" arrogance is what imo will do him in eventually in Ann Arbor. I can see why he is down playing the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry though. One reason is that he probably even thinks that he is above that game:rolleyes:, another is that if somehow Michigan pulls an upset then he can say something like "I told you so" or something to that effect. RR is all about RR, anyone that thinks anything else is imo only kidding themselves.

There is no secret that I am an Ohio State football fan. I have in the past though had great resepect for the Michigan program. Being a fan of college football I don't see how anyone could not respect their history and records. I have fun exchaging jabs with some of the school up north fans on here. Coaches Bo Schembechler (imo one of the greatest ever) and Lloyd Carr were winners and class people.

Now, I still respect the Michigan Football tradition and history. I cannot with RR at the helm respect that team now.

If I were a Michigan fan, I would be telling Raunch Rod to get a life after these comments and remind him that he is at a big time program now. RR needs to get thicker skin, that is the way it is with any big time college football or basketball program, goes with the job. Should he not be able to handle it...get out.

GO Buckeyes!!!!!!

A lof of fans are true idiots...they are everywhere. The problem is, these are the ones that voice their opinions the loudest, and negativity tends to breed negativity. Leave them alone, they are idiots.

Pryor signed his death sentence this year when he committed to OSU.

Amen :thumb:

I wonder where RR would be now if Bednarik hadn't gotten hurt against UofL and White never came in to lead WV on the epic comeback.

Im just waiting it out. Waiting and hoping for a godrecruit class. If Michigan had signed pryor it would be a diff Michigan team. Without Rich Rods speedy qbs he's used to it hurts his spread offense gameplan.

I agree with him. I feel like shouting the same thing in UK threads a lot of times.

GO UK! We was robbed last night:laugh:
