Was hoping Votto would.

Votto was definitely a deserving candidate and I feel like we were all pulling for him, but it is hard to argue against Soto winning.

Soto got all the first-place votes in the NL besides 1 & that went to Votto.

So did Votto come in 2nd?

I meant to say first-place votes & I'm not sure if Votto came in 2nd or not.

Because Soto's a Cub, duh....

Soto's defense and ability to handle pitchers is what makes him more deserving in my eyes. It was no fluke that Dempster and Lilly had career years with Soto behind the plate.

I thought it would have been closer with Votto but not surprised at the outcome.
