November 10, 200817 yr Ted Lilly's ERA went up from the year before... Dumpster had a career year and with a sub 3.00 ERA... Bid Z's numbers were pretty close to the year before... Marquis numbers are on par with his career #'s. You guys act like he transformed this pitching staff.

November 10, 200817 yr I didn't think that Volquez still had rookie status. It would have been a crime if Soto and Longoria hadn't won. I'm also very surprised that Volquez still had rookie status. I also believe that the voters got this one right. I believe Soto deserved it over Votto. It also wouldn't surprise me in the least if history sort of repeats itself from the 1988 Rookie of the Year, where the runner up ended up having the better career. That year a Red won the award, and a Cub came in 2nd.

On a side note, I think I wanna change my vote for biggest homer on this board. HB20 and Rocket are pretty much neck and neck....:lol: It isn't the runaway that we once thought.
November 10, 200817 yr Blanco caught most of Zambrano's games. Marquis had a better year this year than last. Again, am I surprised by the margin? Yes. But the right guy won the award. Whoever voted for Fukudome should have their writer's credentials revoked.
