Na, I was happy April till the first of October, you guys were mad all year:D

The only reason he got it, is because he plays for the Cubs. Votto has better numbers across the board.....and to get all votes but one, that's a crime. Pretty sickening.

I know theres a lot that feels it should have been Votto's, but unless you are a Cubs fan you more than likely never realized what an impact he had on the staff this year. You could just tell by the flow of the game, and the work of the pitchers. It was often talked about during commentary for broadcasts with the whole staff, Sweet Lou among others talking about he's way beyond his years in terms of calling a game. Basically calls the game like a veteran, controls the staff, and puts up solid offensive numbers. And because he is a catcher, the things discussed don't show up in the paper or in his individual stats, but its just something you know as fact when watching a handful of Cubs games this year. So its not just Cubs fans saying that because their Cubs fans, but rather saying that because they've seen what all he's really about. Far more deserving IMO, without Soto they don't win the Central.

You can't be a true Cubs fan then. True fans knew they'd choke again.. :D

But really, Soto played a more demanding position and with the numbers being so equal I think he deserved to win by the margin he did..

Looks about right. Alexei Ramirez and Joey Votto were easily the 2nd best rookies in both leagues, and they finished 2nd in the voting. Kinda funny how Volquez received votes despite not being eligible for the rookie voting.
