Will have to go with Ludlow in this one, and believe me Ludlow has seen as much speed and talent that 1a has. Cant compare the Beechwood game to any Emm. has played, they showed how hard nosed they can be last year in the playoffs giving the eventual state champs all they wanted, if they bring that swagger with them they hold the rope against Eminence!

So lets see here yes Eminence won 4 more games than Ludlow. But lets look at who they was against. North Hardin Christian, Evengal Christian, Brossart. Those are three wins that are definitely nothing to brag about.KCD and Beth Haven another two wins that really can't say to much about. All those games Ludlow would have won as well. The only win you can say that was a decent win was the Gallatin Co. win. Now lets look at Ludlow, I admit their wins really aren't that impressive either. However if you take Carroll Co. Dayton and even Pendelton Co. And I bet all those teams beat the teams that Eminence has beat. Now if we look at the losses both team lost to a really good Henry Co. team. Both teams lost to their #1 seeds in Beechwood and Frankfort, but we will see that Beechwood is better. Then for the rest of the losses for Ludlow came against big schools. So Ludlow has also seen A LOT of better teams to end the year. So Eminence actually will be a big step down from the teams Ludlow has been playing.

 

 

This logic doesn't make sense. You really can't prove things so simply by looking at strength of schedule. I agree that Eminence hasn't really proven anything with the 8 wins over suspect competition... but just because the competition is weak, you can't come to a logical conclusion that therefore the Warriors are also weak. Teams aren't "strong" or "weak" simply by association (with the teams they play). The final statement "So Eminence actually will be a big step down from the teams Ludlow has been playing" just doesn't make sense based on this argument.

 

It's like the days when UK had a horrible football team and some folks actually tried to convince people that they were good because they played (and lost) to a tough SEC schedule. You can't prove you're good by losing...In the same vein, you can't prove you're bad by winning.

I agree with you here. While Ludlow has played a harder schedule, they have hardly beat teams that they should have handled IMO. But I believe Ludlow beats Eminence and will make the record against them 3-0. Ah to be back in 2004 again. Lewis rolls right, throws it up to Lantry....... We know the rest. :thumb:

I also believe that Lloyd has some excellent speed with two very talented runnung backs, and Bellevue has two very talented running backs. Henry Co. is extremly talented, and you would have to say the kid from Scott, who rushed for 800 yds :lol: against them, has to be pretty good too. That being said, you can say that Ludlow has struggled a bit against good running teams. If the two backs from eminence are as good as some are saying it could be a long day or a very high scoring game. I think Ludlow will be prepared, the game is away, it will be rainning (Maybe), my guess is:

Hmmm lets think about this one for a second. Now tell me again how this doesn't make sense. If you look back the post I was commenting on, the guy was acting like Eminence is definitely a good team. So I was saying there is nothing to back that up at all. I mean you can give bad teams that schedule, and they still might win just as many games as Eminence one. The guy was trying to use how Ludlow didn't embarass Brossart like they should have, means they are not as good as Eminence who handled Brossart, and said good teams would embarass teams like that. Hmmm sorry I don't think beating Brossart by 40 proves you are a good team at all. They really haven't beaten anyone to prove they are a good team, like he is trying to claim. So you might want to know why I said what I said, before you say anything.

 

And also how did my last statment not make sense? From the teams Ludlow has been playing the last few weeks of the year, it is a big step down in competition. I mean that is not a hard one to figure out there at all.

 

But I do agree with you, in the fact that I too think Ludlow will win. :thumb:
