How about the Henry Co. vs Western Hills game, earlier this year.

That game would get my vote.

The New Cat, Cov CAth game earlier in the year was a great one. Many lead changes, a huge comeback to even be in the game, and maybe the greatest high school catch I have ever seen. Although I wasn't happy with the outcome, I walked away saying it was a heckuva game!

 

Yes, that was one heck of a game. And one heck of a catch from that kid, nothing better than falling back with defense in your face and making a huge catch, that was key. Although, NCC had key players out that game. I believe after the schedule NCC has faced and the hits that Cov Cath has been taking, NCC would take one away from CCHS big time.

Calloway County vs. Lone Oak was entertaining. Lone Oak led the entire game and Calloway came back to tie in the 4th. Had the ball inside the 20 with less than 2 minutes left. Lone Oak intercepted in the end zone then drove the field for a game winning fg.

I think that the game of the year would have to be the Madison Central vs. Boone County with the hook and ladder to win it for Madison Central with 34 seconds to go on the clock.

The Conner/SK game had one heck of a finish. SK leads, 19-7 with a little over 2 minutes left. I leave to beat the crowd, turn on ICN6 to find out we lost 20-19.

No game in the state was as hyped, with as many story lines, and with as good of quality of teams playing in a tight game that comes down to a last second Hook and Ladder attempt.

 

Great game, one of the best I've seen in the last several years.

 

Only thing I want to mention is Haywood/Matney is not Teacher/Pupil. They've coached against each other a lot, but not together.

Frankfort Vs. Danville

 

Danville came back from a 21-7 defecit at halftime to pull ahead by 3 with 40 seconds.

 

Frankfort finished them off with a Dwight Tillman touchdown with 12 seconds to go in the game.

 

Truly as exciting as it gets.

I was there and I would have to agree this has got to get some mention. This game stopped OHS from having an undefeated regular season. Can someone get me a trash can?? Just kidding!

 

The game was exciting from both sides during this game and well from my side it made you want to throw up late in the game but that is how it goes sometimes.
