Prayers to the Burton family and his team from Bath Co.

Monroe County Falcons send their prayers for the family and the organization.

You are in our thoughts and our hearts!

Prayers from Walton-Verona.

On behalf of myself and the rest of the Green Co. coaching staff, our hearts and prayers go out to the Burton family and the Russell Co. football team.

Prayers from Harlan County.

Prayers are with this family from Taylor Mill.

My prayers and condolences to the family, team, and coaches. May the good lord be with you all.

Prayers from up here in the northern part of the state.

If Russell County plays this week, an ultimate showing of respect would be to start the game with only ten players no matter if its on offense or defense.

A tragedy of this magnitude hit a school in Pennsylvania a few years ago before the seaosn when two varsity starters were killed when one of them had a younger brother that almost drowned...both the guys that went in after him actually drowned but the first guy didn't. To make a long story short, the football team started the first defensive series of every game that year with only nine players. They didn't give up any touchdowns on those plays and used their faith to pull together and they ultimately won a state championship in their class.

Hope everyone down in Laker country can come together and help everyone cope with the horrible ordeal.

This would be so awesome. We had the misfortune of losing a firefighter in the line of duty two years ago. We can only wonder why God calls someone home who has so much to live for. The REBEL nation will keep you in our prayers. Please remember to keep your heads up as we know our help comes from a higher power. God bless you and keep you at the foot of the cross.

Deepest sympathy and prayers from Bobcat Country on Log Mountain in Bell County.

Deepest sympathy to all at Russell County on this tragic loss.

Our players are our most valuable assets and losing one of them in this manner is our worst nightmare.

Hopefully, the strong will and faith demonstrated in the opening post will prevail within the family and community.

The Maroons will keep the Russell Co team and families in their prayers. A very sad day for this area, indeed.

Amen to that, Maroon Fan

I would just like to thank everyone for the prayers and support, it's been a VERY tough week in R.C but I think this is just a CLASS ACT by everyone on here...From the depth of my heart THANK YOU for your support!!!!!

From the Sheldon Clark Cardinals our hearts go out to this family, team, and community for the pain and heartache they are suffering, such as we felt a year ago when our own teammate Ryan Kelly lost his sister in an auto accident.
