The World Celebrates

Featured Replies

It's nice to see the American flag flying in countries across the world as the US elected the new President. It was beautiful to see people in Kenya dancing, crowds outside of the Sydney Opera House and in Times Square, the Arab world celebrating and the folks in Obama, Japan writing and performing a song in honor of Barack.

Just watching all this made me water up.

Were they celebrating in the Middle East? I am curious to see the reaction from that part of the world.

I posted a picture from Iraq. My friend in Jordan said there were guns being fired in the air when the news broke. (which is good- they do it at weddings, too)

I'd say they definitely are in Iraq, because now there's a chance we will leave their country.

BTW, these people are crazy. I live here and I wouldn't be that happy if the guy I liked won.

I did not realize Cuba Gooding Jr. was Iraqi.

I'm sorry, but the world celebrating scares me.

Yes, I agree. The fact that the world thinks Obama is a good thing is not a good thing, IMO.

I think it is great, maybe we will gain the admiration and respect of the world back. We seem to have lost it in the last several years.

I'm more concerned about what God thinks about the USA, than what the world thinks.
