Early in the 4th, Cantwell threw a pass to the Paschley (sp?) kid who was wide open and could have walked into the endzone for a tying TD, but flat dropped it. Syracuse takes over and UL couldn't stop them, The Cuse ran right through them and then scored to go up 14. UL tied it and got ball back late but Cantwell throws a game ending pick. I thought UL was back on track, but there is no excuse to lose to Syracuse.

I agree the kid should had caught the ball, but Cantwell threw the ball to his back shoulder, instead of throwing out in front of the kid. So I think the bad throw assisted in the dropped ball.

I'm not a bandwagoner by any means, I'm a legit Card fan and always will be, but when you have a team that can beat South Florida one week, they better darn well beat Syracuse the next. If they don't, that's a problem upstairs. I want UofL to win, and Kragthorpe and Brohm aren't making it happen.

Essentially, Kragthorpe was handed the keys to a fairly nice car, and he drove that sucker right into a ditch last year. Still they had a fair amount of talent, this year with as about as good as a schedule as one could be handed, and granted they very well will make a bowl, but why should he be given time? What has he shown that deserves time? In many situations, a coach comes into a job, and I think there should be at least a 3-4 year grace period, especially if you are replacing a fired coach to implement your style and get recruiting rolling. Kragthorpe came into an enviable position and has not shown much. Lastly, I would think UL fans should be very concerned because next year looks to be a down year talent wise, but that was known going into this year. On top of that, his recruiting is leaving an awfully lot to be desired. I just dont understand why he should be given time. I am not advocating him to be fired, but he should be having his feet held to the fire, and not be pooh-poohed. Tom Jurich has been successful, but his blind loyalty to Kragthorpe is costing him, in my opinion.

The bottom line for me would be that UL is not beating teams they should, teams they are better than. IMO that it inexcusable...

For Kragthorpe, this isn't just a battle of winning on the field. This is his 2nd year. And a lot more attrition has occurred that he could have anticipated. I'll stick by him, because I believe he'll not only be successful on the field, but be successful in building an solid program internally. Maybe that doesn't mean much to most folks, but it does to me. And, for the record, it's why I preached my "Give Rich Brooks a chance" sermon over and over and over a couple of years ago.

November 2, 200817 yr Classy. Not the fact that they lost but the factt that UofL fans finally realize That coach Krag is terrible.. Which all other teams fans have said since last year. I dont want UofL to lose but once a year and thats against Uk. I hope they win out this year but coaching changes is needed.
