It was unbelievable to me that West Carter beat Raceland last year. It would be incomprehensible if it happened again. I say Raceland wins 48-16.

 

I have seen crazy things happen before. Heck they let East Carter beat them last year to. I hope they remember last year thats for sure. Plus it senior night.

Racelands point total may be misleading. Except for Russell the Rams had the JV in in the 3rd quarter. Coach Hoof never puts up a big score if not needed.

Senior night and we need to avenge the embarrassment of what happened at Olive Hill last year. Write this down, "No way we get beat Friday night." We will name our score and the JV will play most of the second half.

 

I am sorry if I came across too emphatic with the "write this down......." comment, but I am quite sure that our boys will remain focused on the task at hand which is to win every time they suit up and go to battle. Our boys have taken the motto of 'take care of business' to heart and to date have responded. I do hope they continue to play like pit bulls!

No, not at all. I was just saying that the Rams "don't" run up the score. Coach Hoof never has and never will. Even against teams that had ran up the score on the Rams in the past, he will still put in the JV.

I don't think anyone took your post to be anything but complimentary of Raclenad, and we appreciate it.

 

I think people were just pointing out that sometimes we compare scores of like opponents and that is never a good idea, like said, Vanderhoof will rarely ever beat an opponent by more then 35 points. That is just the way he coaches and I admire him for it.

 

No problem on our part, and thanks for you comments about Raceland. I know the team appreciates it.

I think last year was a combination of a let down after the Russell game, attitude, cold weather and a very good senior class on their Senior Night. There was an older gentleman with no teeth and a chaw of tobacco in, that screamed at our players as they went on the field, "We're gonna kick your 'backsides' tonight", and they did.

 

I honestly just don't see our senior class allowing a repeat this year. Our team has taken a business like attitude each week and tried to focus on each weeks opponent as if it were for the title. IF we can do that a few more weeks, then who knows where we'll end up.
