Rams, a team that embarrassed you last season is looking to do it again. This time ruining your unbeaten regular season along with it.

Yes, you beat Russell last week. Though it was a win over a rival it means nothing! No one is impressed with you beating Russell, with you being an 8-0 team going into that game you were expected to beat a 3 loss team. No big statement made, you did what was expected.

Rams, you are also expected to win this one, you were expected to beat West last year but you didn't .

One thing that I can assure you that West is not going to come in an lay down and quit bc you are Raceland. As matter of fact they would love to take down an unbeaten record and senior night at Ram Stadium.

I think that the Rams can name the score. I looked at three teams(Russell,East Carter,Fairview) that Raceland and West Carter have both played. Against West Carter these three teams have scored 126 to West Carter's 43. And against Raceland the same three teams have scored 46 to Raceland's 110.

Racelands point total may be misleading. Except for Russell the Rams had the JV in in the 3rd quarter. Coach Hoof never puts up a big score if not needed.

Several times this season the Rams could have got the 45 point lead and let the clock run. The coaches feel that getting quality playing time for the younger players is more important than putting up big scores. That is one of the reasons the Rams are successful year in year out.

That is the reason I oppose the running clock. The only people it benefits are the guys with the whistles. Same paycheck, shorter night.:lol:

:thumb: Randy Vanderhoof is not going to run a score up on anyone. As you said, Raceland could have really lit some people up with some huge scoring and winning margins. That would accomplish nothing but embarrassing high school kids. I know of a couple of coaches or some of the teams fan base's that I would do it to given the chance:sssh: but h.s. football is about the kids and there is no reason for it. The Raceland football program....coaches players, administration and fan base are all class imo.

 

Also, as you stated the main thing that this accomplishes is to get the younger kids, JV and freshmen quality playing time and experience.

It was unbelievable to me that West Carter beat Raceland last year. It would be incomprehensible if it happened again. I say Raceland wins 48-16.
