He did always had a flare for the dramatic. He had a way of letting everyone know he was reffing.

I never really trusted his officiating. I am sure that there was nothing to it but I always got the feeling...

No 9th Region people have commented, but I think that Pouncy(sp) does a good job.

He did the 16th region tourney and was very good. The ladies....not so much.

The really good officials are the ones that are invisible during the game. I like David Swift in the 7th.

Good officials are ones that truly understand the rules...and are great at running the floor and enforcing them. I like Terry Smith in the 10/11th.

Also, good officials do not stand on the sidelines talking to the coaches while a team is shooting free throws. This is a real kicker for me.

Chamberlain was the best, IMO. I always liked MONDO!

I agree with this to some degree. If there is a call or a play i have a question about this is always a good time to discuss it as the playing action has stopped...to some degree. A good official however should know when to reply and when not too. I am guilty of asking a question during play and an official misses something because they are looking at me.:confused:

Excellent point and all true. As a former official I was tought to limit my conversation's with the coaches because their could be something else going on while you are talking and not giving your full attention to the game.

As a fan, it looks really bad for the official who just made a close or controversial call when his partner is standing on the sidelines while carrying on a conversation.

Joe Billman and Bobby Hall are two of the best in the 16th.

I disagree on a couple. But I really don't want to get on here and talk bad about referees. Cary Lyle is very good. He is probably the best I have seen in Central Ky IMO.
