Could some Highlands fans in the know post some info about the standout Highlands frosh players and what position(s) they play?

Also, the Highlands frosh are 8-1. What is Beechwood's frosh record? Is it 9-0?

Is Ringwald healthy for the Birds? I think this is the key.

Win or lose ,I think the Tiggers have opened some eyes in the way they have beaten the "BIG"schools this year.Of course a win would be great,but either way what a great year for these young men!

:thumb: Agreed, what is the purpose to play at a level that you know you will win. Isn't it more prideful to play at a level that you know you will be challenged at. It's probably not easy to say a team has had a monster year, and then put out a statement that win or lose, you had a great year because you beat bigger schools?

 

HHS gets a bum wrap yearly, but not because of the level of competition that they compete at.

 

I still stake Beechwood in this game.

This is 1 year .Last years team, playing all other teams from last year, would not of done this.Just because 1 year does this does not make it good for every year.That is why they are 1A.Next years varsity will only have 8 or so seniors.I do not believe they will blow other teams away like they have the last couple years.These are the seasons a 1A school deals with and you guys know that.

 

Beechwood does not have 25-30 players per class like the "bigger" schools,such as HHS.Just because they have a real good frosh class coming does not mean they could compete in 2A or 3A year after year .In the playoffs is where it would matter the most in my opinion.We will see this year if they can make it through again.

 

Now on to the "ship".The defense has been very impressive in the games I have seen.The running attack balanced with a couple backs .The passing is pretty good with how tall the ends are .Should be a good game.

I agree with you .Just saying bigger than BW .Stated them because I thought that is what someone else said.Sorry about that ,I was wrong.I understand HHS is playing a couple classes up .It is easier to do this when a school has 20 + kids participating per class.I give HHS all the credit for playing up like they do and winning at it !:thumb:

For the millionth time (you must have missed the other 999,999 ) Beechwood CANNOT move up to 2A. No way; no how; no matter how badly they are mowing though competion. The only reason a team can move up is if they are geographically isolated in their true class (which Beechwood is not).

Will "The Cannon" be in operation Thursday night? If so, will someone please warn the youngmen from Fort Mitchell about it. "The Cannon" is such a psychological advantage for the Birds.
