We left with just under two minutes to play. The Birds were still down 36-21.

 

A crucial penalty and a long pass play with Beechwood in a 3rd and 19 deep in Bluebird territory sealed the deal.

Looks like HHS better hope that deal with playing Beechwood is only a 2 year contract.

We only saw the second half, but I wouldn't say our guys looked bad. Offensively, they did really well. The defense did okay, but made some crucial mistakes and let some guys get by them that maybe shouldn't have. Have to say that the running backs for both teams looked great!

Any final score on this game?

Very exciting game. It was so good to see so many Beechwood faithful come and cheer. This may be the best Beechwood team yet. It will be fun to watch these boys the next three years! Way to go TIGERS!:dancingpa

I agree. That looks like it's going to be a heckuva class for the Tigers! And yes, their crowd was huge. I'd say B'wood easily had more fans than us -- in the stands anyway.

Impressive that Beechwood is the overall frosh champion. Looks like they will carry on the tradition.

I don't want to say that for sure. The Birds had just gotten the ball around mid-field when we had to leave. So they very well could have scored again.
