October 30, 200817 yr Local campaigners who work for Lunsford and the DNC, went to area highschools to register voters. They did not turn in those who registered as Republicans, so now kids who thought they were going to be able to vote this election will not be able to. This happened in the Ashland/Russell area. This does not suprise me for some in our area. I you have proof then I would take it as far as I could with legal action against this group.
October 30, 200817 yr I've never thought about it, but that seems like an excellent solution. You can even expand on that idea for many things. The problem is that most IDs nowadays do not have the SS # on them. I remember when your drivers license # used to be your SS #. For privacy and potential identity theft reasons, this is the case. I like the idea, but there could be some speedbumps along the way. A SS card has no photo.
October 30, 200817 yr :thumb: Chalk up another reason i'm voting for McConnell... :thumb: One of many reasons!!!!!
October 30, 200817 yr I'm not surprised that this has occured. I am sure they have a legit explanation as to why something like this occured. Extreme left wing politics at it's finest.:irked:
October 30, 200817 yr I think if this is proven it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I would sue the school and the DNC.
October 30, 200817 yr I think if this is proven it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I would sue the school and the DNC. Key phrase...."if" this happened and "If" it can be proven. I agree with you that "if" I could I would take all involved the the cleaners. This imo would be very hard to prove and prosecute though, especially in the area/county that this was mentioned to have happened and supposedly took place. I don't doubt that it did but proof would be needed for any action to be taken.
October 30, 200817 yr So wonder how many other places across the country has this happened? Plenty...JMO.
October 30, 200817 yr I've asked before and I'll ask again: Why do you have to register to vote? Why aren't you automatically plugged into the system when born, similar to getting a social security number? When you reach 18 you are eligible. If you move, the information moves with you. It seems like a great deal of time and money is spent on something that could be done easily. Well I think it's a good idea, due to the fact that I think every person should have to pass a simple test to be able to vote. I see voting as a privilege, not a right.
October 30, 200817 yr Well I think it's a good idea, due to the fact that I think every person should have to pass a simple test to be able to vote. I see voting as a privilege, not a right. I agree. I thought the same thing back when they passed the 1964 Voting Privilege Act. In addition to a test, I think you should also have to pay a poll tax. I think this country will be a lot better off when voting is confined to the privileged few.
October 30, 200817 yr Democrats have always been prolific in perpetuating malfeasance as it relates to voter activity. Whether its 1) registering dead people 2)committing voter registration fraud utilitizing non-profit agencies 3) trying to suppress the overseas military vote (see 2000 presidential election) 4) accusing those who think having a photo id is a good idea of being evil or 5) simply throwing registration forms of the opposition party in the trash, you have to admit the dems have this down to a science. Republicans aren't so bad either. The Gore/Bush election comes to mind...
