October 31, 200817 yr Looks like the GOP are getting a taste of their own medicine. Or is it the beginning of Communist Obama?
October 31, 200817 yr Republicans aren't so bad either. The Gore/Bush election comes to mind... Wasn't that the one where the guy lost the election because he did not carry his home state...
October 31, 200817 yr No that would be because the other guys brother handed him his state. How could you hold the school responsible, it just sounds like they were trying to help the kids. Now the people that didn't turn in the registrations is a different matter.
October 31, 200817 yr Author Well after checking yesterday, my friend, got some of the names of the kids that also registered and DOB's, only about 6 more. 3 registered Republican, 2 Democrat, and 1 Independent, all 3 of the Repubs are not listed as registered on https://cdcbp.ky.gov/VICWeb/index.jsp. However, both Dems and the independent are listed. He is going to try and get more names and such just to be sure. However, so far it does not look good, but that small a sample can be misleading, mistakes do happen.
October 31, 200817 yr It's politics. The sooner those kids figure that out, the sooner they'll know how things really are.
October 31, 200817 yr If this is true, ALL parties involved, including the school should be held accountable.
October 31, 200817 yr If this is true, ALL parties involved, including the school should be held accountable. I don't think the school should be accountable unless they knew this was happening. So, if the people who did this went to the school, had the kids fill out the docuementation, collected it all, then disposed of it later, I simply don't know how the school has any culpability.

I agree. They were merely providing the facilities for the registration activities based on the info I've seen thus far. But then, I tend to get a bit agitated when schools are arbitrarily assigned blame since my wife is a teacher and I've seen the effects of this first hand.

The school allowed one party to register voters. It should have required that either representatives of both major parties participate or cancelled the event. The school was both naive and negligent. If my child had been one of those whose form didn't make it into the record, I would be well into the process of holding the school responsible.
October 31, 200817 yr I contacted the Ashland paper today, through the editor of the news section. They have heard nothing on this and have received NO calls on it either.
November 1, 200817 yr No that would be because the other guys brother handed him his state. How could you hold the school responsible, it just sounds like they were trying to help the kids. Now the people that didn't turn in the registrations is a different matter. Well when the NY Times says Al Gore lost Florida... I would say he lost Florida... :walk: Study of Disputed Florida Ballots Finds Justices Did Not Cast the Deciding Vote By FORD FESSENDEN and JOHN M. BRODER A comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots from last year's presidential election reveals that George W. Bush would have won even if the United States Supreme Court had allowed the statewide manual recount of the votes that the Florida Supreme Court had ordered to go forward. http://www.nytimes.com/2001/11/12/politics/12VOTE.html?ex=1225684800&en=eaa644b48a37a430&ei=5070
