Great move for the Lions they are stocking up picks. Cowboys gave up a little more then I would have felt comfortable with.

Lions are building for the future, good for them.

Dallas got a good deal. They got 2 very good recievers, 2 really good running backs, a great TE and a good QB. Their offense will be looking good when Romo gets back.

While I think it helps Dallas now, I believe the severely overpaid to get him. A 1st, 3rd and 6th rounder for a 4 year vet who has had ONE 1,000 yard season? He's good...but he isn't worth that much.

The Cowboys needed an offensive guard or tackle, not a receiver. Perhaps JJ missed the plays Romo was running for his life. All the RW's in the world won't help if you don't have time to get it to them.

I think this makes the Dallas offense very dangerous, even without Romo. Johnson's a vet, it's not like he's held a clipboard his whole career. He put up some numbers in the past. In a few weeks, we could be saying should Romo start when he's healthy. Johnson could get this team rolling. I can't see the long ball, but the dink and dunk will be open all day for fear of the long ball. He's also dealt with some ego's, so he should be able to keep both WR's engaged enough to stay in the offense.

 

TO and Roy have to be one of, if not THE best WR tandem's in the league. Williams was a good wideout in Detroit. He's got a chance to be a great one in Dallas.

 

We'll know in 5-10 yrs who got the better end of the deal.

However, Jones said that when he informed Owens of the trade, Owens was "ecstatic," mentioning that this should ease the double coverages he has been facing.

 

 

 

Williams said the first phone call he received after the trade was from Owens, who has complained recently about not getting enough catches in an offense that lost quarterback Tony Romo this week for perhaps a month with a broken finger in his throwing hand.

Interesting tidbit about the trade. The 6th rounder that the Lions will receive comes from the Adam Jones trade. Dallas got the 6th round pick from the Titans, stipulation from the Dallas/Titans trade, since Jones got suspended, they got their pick back from Tennessee.

He has never had a QB like Romo, or much of a running game.

This is a great move for me b/c I have him on my fantasy team, and now he will get more looks.
