I cannot answer that question and have disagreed with other decisions made. None are salvation issues but sometimes Christians across the board get in on our way.

Mass is the one of the most structured rituals you'll every attend.

And a good mass is also one of the most reverend rituals you'll ever attend.

 

I have no doubt that any of the parishes that I have been would negate a video with an excellent message because it is attached to a Protestant denomination.

 

In fact, as much as I disagree theologically with Protestants, I have nothing but respect for many of them. Often times, they are some of the most rock solid people you will meet, and their openness in public about their beliefs is admirable. The fact that they aren't Catholic has little effect on me.

And your last statement that many of you agree that it should always be legal. Do you think the Holocaust which killed fewer should have remained legal?

 

Of course, you are going to go into a statement to convince yourself it is right that somehow unborn babies are people.

 

Simply, this country is no better than Germany/Hitler and their treatment of Jews concerning this issue. Years from now, I hope people look at this country in the same disdain as we look upon HItler. That would mean that the scourge of abortion has stopped in this country.

If we do not soon stop the genocide of abortion in the United States, we shall run the course of all those that prove by their actions that they are enemies of God―total collapse, economic, social, and national. The moral demise of a nation results in the ultimate demise of a nation. God is not a disinterested spectator to the affairs of man. Life begins at conception. This is an unalterable formal teaching of the Catholic Church. If you do not accept this you are a heretic in plain English. A single abortion is homicide. The more than 48,000,000 abortions since Roe v. Wade in the United States constitute genocide by definition. The group singled out for death―unwanted, unborn children.

 

No other issue, not all other issues taken together, can constitute a proportionate reason for voting for candidates that intend to preserve and defend this holocaust of innocent human life that is abortion.

 

I strongly urge every one of you to make a Novena and pray the Rosary to Our Lady of Victory between October 27th and Election Day, November 4th. Pray that God's will be done and the most innocent and utterly vulnerable of our brothers and sisters will be protected from this barbaric and grossly sinful blight on society that is abortion. No woman, and no man, has the right to choose to murder an innocent human being.

 

May God grant us the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and counsel to form our conscience in accordance with authentic Catholic teaching, and then vote that well‐formed Catholic conscience.

Isn't it hypocritical of churches that have a stance against abortion to NOT be against oral contraceptives, if the stance is that life begins at conception? I will repeat this for the third time in the last three days (though perhaps not in this thread and not to LBBC), oral contraceptive ("the pill") works in part by not allowing a fertilized egg to attach to the uterine wall. As far as I know, only the Catholic church preaches against oral contraceptives (in addition to all artificial birth control).

Not for nothing but the Battle of Diu some 50 years earlier actually had a greater impact in the weakening of the Ottoman Empire. It is often overlooked, but it no only was responsible for the shattering of one of the two grea Muslim Empires but it also weakened the Ottomans economically which allowed the Papal and Venetian led "Holy League" fleet at Lepanto to be the threat that it was to the Ottomans.
