October 13, 200818 yr Ugh. Could there be a more overhyped record? Give Axl another decade and it will still be sub-mediocre.
October 13, 200818 yr Author Ugh. Could there be a more overhyped record? Give Axl another decade and it will still be sub-mediocre. Fan of GNR at one time? I was a HUGE fan in the day.
October 13, 200818 yr Fan of GNR at one time? I was a HUGE fan in the day. Yep. But without Slash, Izzy and Duff this new "GNR" can't carry the name. I've never liked Axl's voice, either.
October 13, 200818 yr Well that was about ten years later than expected. But like someone alluded to, no Slash, no Duff, no GnR.
October 13, 200818 yr I"ll give it a fair shot.. I remember when GnFnR first came out it was like they breathed new life into Rock N Roll. I keep waiting for another band to be the next Guns N Roses!
November 25, 200817 yr Well, for any of you true believers, please tell us how "great" this joke is.
November 25, 200817 yr I have it and am just starting to listen to it. Will give my opinion later. It doesn't seem like it could really be GnR without Slash, Izzy, etc. But I will give it a fair shot.
November 25, 200817 yr Why would anybody give a goofball like Axl Rose their money? Never understood the fascination with this guy and his "music."

So under that logic, are you saying you wouldn't give Abba a chance if they came back??? :irked:  To stick with the thread, GNR had a few good songs, but this would be similar to Tom Morello finding another singer and still calling the band RATM. Or Led Zeppelin actually going through and recording/touring with another lead singer instead of Plant. This shouldn't be released under the GNR name without Slash being involved.

I couldn't agree more!! I will give this album a chance, but I believe that it won't compare to the past.
