December 2, 200817 yr So under that logic, are you saying you wouldn't give Abba a chance if they came back??? :irked: :lol: To stick with the thread, GNR had a few good songs, but this would be similar to Tom Morello finding another singer and still calling the band RATM. Or Led Zeppelin actually going through and recording/touring with another lead singer instead of Plant. This shouldn't be released under the GNR name without Slash being involved. Actually, it would be more like Robert Plant recording/touring with a whole new band, wouldn't it? I mean, GNR still has the same singer.
December 2, 200817 yr Best Buy is selling vinyl???? I saw that the other day. That's the only vinyl record I've ever seen at Best Buy. Of course, I've never looked for one...but it was right up front with the CD on a featured display.
December 2, 200817 yr Appetite For Destruction was one of the best pure rock and roll albums I've ever heard. Lies was just something to fill in the demand for a hot band. The Use Your Illusion albums were pretty good, but not even close to 'Appetite'. GNR was at their best as an in your face rock and roll band and Axl tried to take them in another direction and it was a downgrade. Some of the songs worked, some of them didn't. They are what they are...or better, they were what they were. And, they made one of the best rock albums ever.
