October 14, 200817 yr If an SEC team ends up playing Penn St. for the national title watch out. I never questioned Fla or LSU when playing Ohio St. but Joe P knows how to win the big game. He wont beat Ohio St. at the shoe this year.

October 14, 200817 yr Florida and Choklahoma. I think Texas falls somewhere along the way. Shouldn't Texas have to fall twice to go below Oklahoma? Oklahoma won't lose anymore, but it would be great for Texas to run the table until the B12 title game then lose and have Oklahoma jump them. It would actually make my college football year complete.

October 14, 200817 yr They a playoff system for college football - but that is another thread. IMO it is a good shot the Penn St and Florida could meet. They do and it plays out every week of the regular season.:thumb:

So with 4 or 5 teams who could lay claim to a shot at the national title, you're telling me that a playoff shouldn't be implemented. We're going to leave it up to a computer? At the end of the year last year, Georgia was the best team in the country. They were smoking everyone, yet b/c they lost 2 games in conference, they lost out in the east to UT. Had there been a playoff, the best teams would have been playing and UGA would have won an at large bid. How can DIII schools travel for playoff games and DII teams, yet not in the DI super league or whatever it is called? Will the bowls really miss out on that much money? Every team besides those in the final 4 could play in another bowl game. Don't give the "That's too many game lines" b/c the champion in the other three divisions plays at least 14 games to win it all.
