I have seen LC on film and while they have some great talent I wasn't overly impressed with thier play as a unit. I think the Birds will put a flogging on LC 47-17

What game did you watch?

Heck, I look at Highlands and our players who were inexperienced at the beginning of the year aren't making anywhere near the mistakes they made against Ryle and Colerain. I'm sure the LC kids have progressed just as much so people shouldn't read to much into the early season losses by LC.

Remember back to the beginning of the season and how quickly the "experts" were calling HHS O-Line the "worst in the history of organized football" (ok...I made that quote up, but you get the gist!). L-Cath will be a DANGEROUS opponent.

I remember participating in that conversation. I was a non-believer after seeing the Ryle D tear up our line pretty good. I have eaten all my words and believe that this team has come a long way since week 1. They may have more depth in the running back position than any other year I can remember. Pretty amazing. I am so sorry that I was so quick to jump on the train to negative town. I am so glad that I have gotten off at the first stop and caught the bus to believerville.

I'll be making my first trip to Bird-land this Friday night. How's the parking around the stadium?

The Knights have come a long way since the first couple of games. If the only games you've seen are the Bishop Chatard and Saint X games, you haven't seen this group play defense.

Highlands will be a challenge but, hopefully, LC can keep it close.

Bad, very bad. Get there early and try one of the residential side streets or behind the city building just past (south) of the high school.

Thanks for the tip.

Be sure to catch the JV version of the game Saturday morning at LexCath.

I was at the game there two years ago and it was the best high school atmosphere I've ever experienced. Of course the result colors my memory. As for the parking, bring your walking shoes and leave the SUV at home. What parking there is has a tight squeeze.

You are now on double secret probation...If I see a Fayette County plate anywhere near my spot, you will never get another piece of cake in this town!

And he's in charge of cleaning up the club house for a month.

Harrison county and while the final score was bad I thought HC hung with them much longer than they should have.

Yes I remember. You'd think that the "experts" after having been proven wrong so, so many times in the past would be more cautious in their comments and criticisms, but the hits just keep on a coming year after year (and I hate coming across as a jerk by "calling out" those posters, but they don't seem to mind calling out 16, 17 and 18 year olds, so I figure what's good for the goose is good for the gander). Why did you bring that up Z? You just got me fired up again.

LC, like Highlands (actually even more so than Highlands) was very inexperienced at the beginning of this year. From what I've seen and been told, they have been progressing very well. There's little doubt that they have the athletes. It was just a matter of the kids getting adjusted to varsity football and gaining experience. They certainly have an excellent coaching staff. They are a dangerous opponent indeed.
