The 2nd teamers most of the next half but had to be pulled when JC scored 28 on 2nd team's defense.

They brought back the 1st string defense and they never got anywhere for the rest of the game.

If both are #1 seeds (likely), it would be Highlands that would travel to Johnsonville to meet JC. Maybe we can get CCH's announcers to join us?

HHS and JC did not play last year. I believe the game you are referring to was HHS and Lincoln County.

This weekend's action could throw the District 5 playoff picture into major chaos. But that will only happen if we get one upset in the two district games to be played. Ironically, if both games result in upsets, the playoff picture would be clear...but VERY different. Here are all of the possibilities:

Cov. Cath. defeats Holmes / Dixie defeats Scott

2. Cov. Cath.

3. Dixie

Holmes defeats Cov. Cath. / Dixie defeats Scott

2-4. 3-way tie between Cov. Cath., Dixie & Holmes

No, all three positions will be determined by the (4 opponent) point totals. If that doesn't produce a winner, they keep adding defeated opponents until a winner is declared.

 

The only exception to this would be if one team had defeated both of the other teams. In that case, they would be placed in the first position and the winner of the game between the remaining two would earn the second position.
