Followed by Pryor. I'd almost give the edge to Pryor because of the position he is playing. It's tough to play QB no matter what year you are in, him being a true freshman makes what he is doing even more special.

 

I do think Pryor gets a little help by playing much weaker competition. I'd love to see what the kid could do against the SEC teams which are obviously extremely tough defensive teams this season. Jones goes against some greatest corners and DB's in the country every week.He's proven he can make plays against the best. I'll give the edge to him.

 

Both are awesome athletes. I'd take either one of them on my team in a heartbeat.

Julio Jones the kid is so skilled already as a freshman.. You see what he did against experienced DB's when they played UK. TP is good don't get me wrong but JJ is on a whole new level..

I worded that wrong. I was trying to say that I thought Jones preformed at the same level, if not higher than Pryor against better defensive athletes.

I think that Julio Jones is the best followed by Green, and Pryor...I also believe that if Victor Anderson stays hot, he will enter this discussion. Gregg Doyel has already started writing about him.

Pryor is on that same level. Pryor can make plays with his feet and just when you least expect it he makes a nice play with his arm. He isn't the best passer and he takes to long sometimes to make decisions, but to me he has been the best true freshman looking at the situation and everything. It's not easy playing QB at Ohio State, especially as a true freshman..

 

Believe me TP is not far at all... I just think Julio Jones is a step ahead at this point.. and he should be playing wide out versus TP playing QB.

It's a lot easier to run a route and use your size to get the ball, then to read a D under pressure and find the open receiver.

You are exactly right, the QB is the team leader, and is more demanding and requires more maturity than just hoping in as a running back or wide receiver.

Jones and Green are awesome, but they only have to account for themselves. Pryor is running the offense. That's what pushes him ahead of the competition. But hey, this is only my opinion.

So by your reasoning a QB should be the only player to ever win the Heisman? Or MVP in the NFL?
