October 3, 200817 yr I'm starting to worry about you. Do I need to call the suicide hotline, and have the local police show up at your house? :lol: I will be fine. I have no problem giving the Dodgers credit, they are obviously the better team. I can't say I'm say I'm surprised that the Cubs went in the tank, AGAIN, in the post season. It is just beyond frustrating to see a team play a certain way for 162 games and what we have watched the last night and a half is beyond horrible. Yes, Cubs fans have gotten used to this, but doesn't make it any less disgusting.
October 3, 200817 yr Big Z is actually pitching very well... He has made one bad pitch. He should have been out of that inning two batters before Martin came up. I cant believe how bad the defense is tonight. It's not that he wasn't pitching well. He couldn't help being down 2-0. However, he tried to throw the ball harder than he was capable of to Martin which led to him falling behind 3-1. With Manny on deck he had no choice but to groove on and Martin drilled it. This inning is another classic example. Manny took him deep and he promptly walks Ethier and he's 2-0 on Loney and about a millimeter from falling totally apart. He's not got the mental makeup for the playoffs.

October 3, 200817 yr I said/agreed with someone on another thread that the two best teams in baseball were facing each other in the ALDS .....Angels and BoSox. That may be true but this Dodger team is looking every bit as good. Another thing is that I honestly do hate to see the Cub fans booing their own team. They used to never do that no matter what. I am loving this for Joe Torre. I am a Yankee fan and will continue to be but I have to wonder if H. Steinbrennar is realizing that it is not Joe's fault :lol:. I like Girardi but Torre got the shaft by the Yankees. I am doing great on my picks so far..I picked the Cubs and the Brewers in the NL with the Cubs going to the WS.
