Well, I am not making any predictions or comments this week. I want both teams to play great football and injury free. This is the worst week for me. So, for all the others......what do you think?

We all know how the season has shaped up for both teams so far, and the obvious choice would be to say Raceland will win hands down. But, this is one of those enter county rivalry games that the records don't always do justice to the match up.

I expect Greenup County to play above expectations, and for Raceland to have to play a hard fought game to get the victory.

I agree, Raceland had better bring their A game to this one. I just hope we come out to play. Greenup has a high powered Offense. It will be hard to stop. Will be a close one.

The Rams must avoid the letdown that sometimes follows a big, emotion-draining victory. if they do this & take care of business, the Rams go 5-0.

I agree with the previous assessments. It won't be as easy as one would think from looking at the records, but I still say Raceland wins 38-13 pulling away in the second half. Greenup will likely come out playing on a lot of adrenaline given they have a chance to derail the Rams perfect season in Lloyd. Raceland may suffer a bit of the obligatory letdown after their great win against LCA. Emotion and adrenaline will only take the Musketeers so far, though. Raceland is the better team so Raceland wins.

I don't know about Greenup having a high powered offense. They have scored 13, 6, 7, and 19 points in their 4 games this season. They have been beaten by 36, 61, and 28 points in the 3 games they lost. Their lone victory was over a 2-2 team by 1 point. I think all stats point to this being a Raceland massacre.

Even with those statistics, though, I still somehow anticipate a good effort from them this Friday against their county rival. That's why I think they may hang around for a half.

This will go down to the wire, Defense wins the ballgame, whoever plays the best D wins.

A tale of two team:

Greenup has not performed as many of us expected, but are coming off a big district win that will give them a emotional run into this game. Greenup always plays better then their record against Raceland. This is a home game for Greenup.

Raceland is undefeated and may feel this should be an easy game. They are coming off of a the biggest win possible in their regular season, and primed for an emotional let down. Raceland has a history of getting a lead on Greenup and letting them get back in the game, with most of the games ending very close on the scoreboard. Raceland is on the road for this game.

The results of this game lays in the hands of Raceland, will they come out and start this game as if it is any other game, and play like it is the most important game of the season? If they come out and think they will win just because they showed up, they will be in for a surprise. I look for Greenup County to come out emotional and ready to play. Raceland had better do the same.

I think all stats point to this being a Raceland massacre.

I think the Rams will win in a hard fought game pulling away in the end. The coaching staff at Raceland is to good to let the kids have a let down, plus being an enter county rivarly game the Rams will know to come fired up and ready to play.

This one is just like any "backyard brawl" in that you can throw the records out the window. These two teams really go after one another and I am sure that this weeks renewal of this rivalry will be no different. I have plenty of friends down Greenup/Lloyd way so may both teams remain injury free and good luck to GCHS........... after this game. :D:thumb:

GO Rams!!!!!

Lets Open Up Another Can Of Orange Crush This Week!! 4 down and 11 to go:flame:

Good Monday morning to the Rams. I hope you had a great weekend, enjoyed yourself, and had fun celebrating your hard fought victory over a high powered and strong LCA team.

Party's over, it is time to get ready for the next game. No more thinking about a game that is over, time to focus on the opponent at hand. This game is now the most important game of the season, because it is the next game of the season.

Remember what I said in the LCA thread, a great team wins all the games that they are expected to win and most of the games that they are not expected to win. This is a game that you are expected to win. And when you expect to win, bad things can happen, just because you are expected to win, does not mean that you don't have to prepare and play like it is the hardest game on the schedule.

Greenup County will want to win this game and keep their momentum going after their district win last week. You have to be focused and play just as hard as you did against LCA. A great team does not play hard one week and let down the next week. A great team plays at the same level no matter who the opponent is.

Play like a champion.

^ Great post coach Ram!!

Remember Rams, You are never as good as everyone is telling you and quit reading your press clippings. There will be plenty of time for that after the season.

Lets get re focused on this week and a Greenup Co. team that wants nothing more than to ruin your chance at a unbeaten season and give you a big "L" in the column.

Play "Ram Pride" Football!!

Too many weapons for Raceland, not enough for the Musketeers.
