Ashland 48 Montgomery Co 27

Final - Stats to follow

Ashland now 1 - 0 in the district. Unofficially, the Tomcats rushed for over 400 yards and held MC to 105 on the ground. Carter went over 200 and Albers over 100.

Once again - Ashland's O-Line dominates and controls this ballgame.

Congrats to the Tomcats on the "W". Good luck the rest of the way out.

I'll talk to you later, after the one we just got finished with here in Raceland I need my medication!

The Tomcats have a very nice team. I would not be surprised at all if they pulled an upset over Johnson Central or Woodford Co.

I was also impressed with the number of fans Ashland brought to Mt. Sterling.

I agree. Ashland has a very good team. I watched them play Russell last week and I really thought Ashland was one of the more passionate and enthusiastic high school teams I have seen. They make a few mistakes here and there, but it really seems all 11 guys on the field are giving it 100%. Congratulations on a good district win and good luck as the schedule gets even tougher!

Congratulations to Ashland. As several of us have said, this ain't last year's Tomcats.

Hey, Graybeard and painter, Congrats on the win. I called this one to. Remember I have a seven points either way.

Congratulations to Ashland. We at Raceland have been saying since pre-season that Ashland is better then many people think. I am sure people are starting to the light. Enjoy the win, and start getting ready for the next game. One game at a time.

I just got back from the game. It was a nice facility and the fans were friendly. Ashland had a pretty good crowd there.

Congratulations to the Tomcats on their first 5A win. I sure feels nice to get a district win.

The O-line was tough and the backs ran hard. Number 52 for MC was huge. People were saying he was 6'5" and 345 pounds. I don't know if that is correct, but he was a hoss on the line.

Congrats to the Tomcats as they continue to roll.

Keep Believing!!!

Congrats Tomcats on the win. The Cats appear to have there swagger back.

It's true Tyler Hussey is 6'5" and 345'.

Wow...if that is a mobile 6'5" and 345, then he should be playing on Saturdays.
