No oat feeling here. One reason to run the Wing -T offense is so you have angles on defensive players you don't have to be as physical as the other team.

So Mr. Holtz you're saying that the wing-T is for less physical teams to have a shot at more physical teams? Makes sense. Good strategy and good coaching.

Well to be honest so far this season I have had some bad luck but I see N.O. playing H.C. to the wire here although H.C. has not been scored on in 3 weeks they also havent played any major competition this will be a great one to see, so hoping my luck will change I am going with H.C. 42 - 24 big scores in second will be the undoing of North.

Boy, Knute's sure full of it today. This is not the NCAA. You coach what you have and what you can get to come out to play. You can't recruit players for positions. You have to make do with what you have. If you can coach,, you can make players. There are only so many athletes to choose from at the smaller schools. H.C. has more athletes that can play this year than in a long time. That's why they can platoon this year and wear teams down.

Wow I can not believe that someone has the footballs to actually make this statement, on here even. I thought that all those people had gotten old and out of Football All todays Coaches care about are rosters, how many, how big, how fast, how much time, Oh I want to Coach here. No one stays around Like the old days where Coaches built High school Dynasty's and stayed at the same school for 20+ years and made it a way of life in their little town.:thumb:Let me plase repeat it for all of you IF YOU CAN COACH, YOU CAN MAKE PLAYERS. North has more seniors this year- OL 70-- Ask Tom Hawkins the radio guy and he can tell you that. As to more physical I guess we will see how it plays out Friday. I think both defense's are way more physical than the offense's. That Mount Hadden must be doing a great job with the Defense; I know he did when Coach Martin was there as well. If Hc just could have got bye those Russell Red Devils in 04-05- now those were some awesome teams.

 

Knute, I've been told that Coach E brought in a new offensive coordinator this year and he Coach E is running the defense. Coach E has made several quotes in the paper regarding the defense I believe he is running the defense.

Don't know much about Ballard or the connection between the two.

Shawnee and Cal would beat any team HC has played

 

Ludlow would beat all of them.

Clear the air- HC has only lost to North once ever- coach M beat North as well- If you knew anything about develpoing a program OL 70 you would understand the 3 year rule, ask any head coach and they will tell you that. Henry Co was not in bad shape when Coach M left- Coach E did good the 2nd year 1st year had some growing pains with new system etc. Coach Martin was horrible first year at North 0-10 (1-9) year before he got there, and 8-4 in 2nd year. No sour grapes here -I am happy HC is is doing well- just hope not this Friday As to your stats North Oldham can make that claim as well-they have had their Varsity Defense scored on once- rest JV and Special teams, some people sub when they have a huge lead.

I do recall an e-mail by Coach Martin on the list serve as he was heading out the door stating that Henry County would not win a game (this was back in 06). You see my friend it's not just coaches on the KYFB list-serve. Coach Martin knew what he was doing when he got out. The pantry was bare my friend. With just a handful of Juniors and Seniors Coach Martin got out while the getting was good.

 

I believe Henry's frosh team has finished every game on offense and quite a few have seen snaps on defense. Just for the record. CAL-Atherton-Shawnee could not compete with Ludlow and Trimble would be very competitive if not better than those 3. Either way, niether team has been tested up to this point. Should be interesting Friday night.

I don't think it was too bare- Coach M would never say that about a program he worked hard to build up, so NO not true
