We are just as good as other team out there and everybody is intitled to have a bad night. But you all will have to face the same horse on 10-10-08 on Log Mountain and then you will see what a hard time you can have.

The game couldn't had started worse for Rockastle. Bell did what they had to do and Rock shot themselves in the foot a couple times. Someone said Rock only had 1 1st down in the 1st half. One thing that stuck out to me in this game was how well all the runners ran for Bell. Spencer Greer was banged up and did not play the 2nd half, but Goodin, Simpson, Davenport, Harbin, and Carton all picked up the load and did real well. Bell's defense has had 2 good weeks in a row.

 

Bell, from what I heard, since I did not get to see the game myself, actually done better the second half without Greer. The first half 2 or 3 TD came from sloppy Rock plays, and the QB that took Greer's place done a better job. Rock beat themself the first half. Also,Merrick, not sure if I spelled his name right, is spectacular. Who else in high school can kick a ball like that?

I'm not trying to be a smart alec but how long has it been since The Rock has scored on Bell?

Are you saying that Sheldon Clark is better than Rockcastle I just don't see it. Sheldon Clark had a good team last year and I don't see them being close to that at all. Bell is as good if not better. Sorry I believe that you are badly mistaken.

I believe this is the 3rd shut out in a row for Bell County.

Coach Hilton has a special bunch this year. This could be one of his best teams.

Rockcastle won the 2006 regular-season and playoff games against Bell, I believe. Both contests in 2007 were shutouts for Bell. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last).

Spencer Greer did not look himself all night. Dont get me wrong he still made some big plays. He had a really good run called back on a holding penalty that didnt effect the play. He just never really looked 100% to me. As far as Bell running so easily in the 2nd half, I think the Rock defense was really wore down because with Rock having no offense the defense was on the field virtually all night.

I think a lot of Rockcastle players go both ways, so they would have been on the field all night regardless.

Maybe it has to do that Bell Co. is the best team and no one in this district is close. Not even good old "Mt. Vernon."

District 7 might sweep District 8 right out of the playoffs this season , Look for a Bell/Rock or Bell/Knox rematch for the regional title.

Bell is clearly the better team. Bad nights are made by the opposition period. Rock looked that bad b/c Bell took them to the wood shed for the third straight time.
