September 19, 200817 yr Best restaurant soup I've ever had is the Hoppin' John's at Rafferty's. Really need to try and make it myself. Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Broccoli and Cheese and Tomato are my three go to soups...
September 19, 200817 yr My mom makes some great homemade soups.... Chicken Rice, Veggie, Potato, and Bean. One that I didn't like until recently that is quickly becoming a favorite is French Onion....

September 19, 200817 yr I make a pretty good bean soup, but my absolute favorite is my dad's crab soup. Growing up close to the Chesapeake Bay, this was a summer staple.
September 19, 200817 yr Etouffe, particularly from Knotty Pine on the Bayou. At home it's potato soup with bacon and green onions, or cream of broccoli.
September 19, 200817 yr Homemade vegetable beef soup tops my list. Best restaurant soup I've ever had was a seafood concoction of some sort served at the Chesapeake House in Myrtle Beach. It was the real deal.
September 19, 200817 yr Tomato soup with milk in it...along with 3 or 4 grilled cheese. Now that sounds good, can't wait for a cool day.
