I think the Hunter kid has a very high ceiling. He very well may be a fixture. The can't afford hurt feelings either.

He will get his chance on Friday. If he fails it is not the end of the world. There will be more chances. Who knows he just might rip the Russell defense to threads. I have not seen him play. I'm looking forward to it on Friday although. Keep in mind even if the Tomcats loose that does not mean that this freshman failed. It may just mean that he got his foot in the door.

I agree. All I'm trying to do is stop a rumor.

I agree

Is there any place I can check out Ashland's stats for this season?

Would like to compare them to Russell.

If they have someone posting their stats, it should be on www.khsaa.org

Just click on their schedule & it should provide you with an option to view them if they have posted them.

It's just game. Good luck to both teams.

Can't believe that the thread is quiet with a quaterback change in the making. I'm curious, will starting a freshman quarterback give Ashland a better chance to win?

Its the fourth game and changing Qbs no problem,I hope he remains calm under fire and does a good job.:thumb:

Does anyone know if the game will be televised like last years? With my "favorite devil" now off to college playing Football he will miss the game. Would love to tape it for him and send it to him to watch next week.

Thanks in advance!!

I just got word Russelldad that OU is setting up video equipment at Putnam in order to televise the game. Im not sure when it will be aired, but it will be taped.

Thanks. I appreciate it. If anybody finds out about the time let me know. I do not have Time Warner, so I will have to get someone to tape it for me.

This looks like a case of the Hunter vs the hunted.

I just got word that freshman Ryan Whetsel is getting the start at CB. I'm leaving momentarily to root him on. Quality kid! Hope both teams finish injury free!:thumb:

We will see several new faces tonight for the Tomcats. This game should live up to its hype.

Ashland 21

Russell 20.

^ I am going to be unable to make it to Mossy Bottom tonight, I don't think that the Raceland/Fairview game is on the radio or webcast live so I will probably be tuning in to Dick Martin and the Tomcats broadcast before I tune into the delayed version of the Raceland game. May both teams stay injury free and Go Tomcats!!
