Joe Biden tells man in wheel chair "stand up"

Featured Replies

He's either not smart, classless or very poorly prepared for a speech, or maybe a combination of all of the above.

Like he said himself, very green.

Probably nothing more than an honest mistake, but you would think if he was to be mentioned in his speech, he would know about his disability.

He's been a politician for how many years now?

I'm not giving him a pass for inexperience.

Heck, during the primaries he wouldn't give The One a pass for inexperience.

Just an effort to show that there can be posts made about Biden as well as our next VP.

Does this stuff not get old, guys???? I mean really...

Another example of his foot in his mouth, but as always, much ado about nothing.

Maybe it was like The Secret Garden and Joe was trying to get him to stand up and be healed? :D

It was a Gaffe. We've all misspoke before.

That said, it was a stupid, stupid gaffe to make. (And most of us haven't misspoke in front of that many cameras before or with that much at stake.)

Give enough public speeches and you're bound to make a few slips of the tongue. When the speeches are made in front of cameras, the mistakes are going to be noticed more. Granted, this one was a bit uncomfortable, but still just nothing more than a slip of the tongue.

Have none of you ever been to a meeting or banquet etc. when names are called people are asked to stand and be recognized. We are talking a state senator. I'm sure that there are not many Washington politicians that are familiar with every senator of every state in our country. Quit making mountains out of molehills. I thought he recovered quite nicely by having the crowd stand for the senator.

If we voted against people based on gaffes and speech faux pases, we never would have elected our current president.

Starting to take this "Mesiah" thing a bit seriously, isn't he?

OK, I couldn't resist. It was a gaffe, a mistake, no big deal, I do it all the time.

Not bad ...
