Final.

Posted at the same time as cvillecat, maybe a mod could combine or delete my thread.

That is all the final was? Wow.

Not much to say other than this was a pathetic, lackluster performance by Ohio State. They were obviously looking ahead but there is still no excuse for todays effort (lack there of). They played 1 1/2 qtrs. of football to get the win and that win was where it counts (on the scoreboard) but nowhere else. he OSU line play (both sides) was an embarrassment, Tressel should have them on the practice field this evening!:irked:

Bottom line...........should the Buckeyes play like this next Saturday night they will be out of the game after the 1st qtr. Hopefully we will have Beanie back and Tressel will have this team woken up and ready to play football.

GO BUCKEYES!!!

This would qualify as one of those "we won, but we really lost" kinda games.

Until the seven minute mark in the 4th qtr. this was the most terrible display of offensive & defensive line play I have ever watched. I'm am sure that the Buckeyes took OU lightly and were looking ahead to next week's showdown with USC but today OU came out and hit them right square in the mouth. The Buckeyes were able to rebound with the play of their secondary (4INT & 1 fumble recovery) and Ray Small coming up big on a 69yd punt return in the 4th to get victory # 800.

As an OSU fan the thing that bothered me the most was the effort by the O & D line, it simply was not there.

Next week will be a challenge for the Bucks as USC will be a huge favorite and rightfully so. Fortunately the game is played on the field and I think we see a much better effort by OSU. If not, as others have stated in the update thread, week three will get ugly real fast.

Go Bucks

On a positive note, this was Ohio State' 800th win in school history. :thumb:

I was rooting for Ohio U. and looked at first they could of pulled it off. Ohio S. will have to get off to a better start to not get beat next week. I wouldn't bet on them.

Good to see former CCH/HHS player Mike Mitchell doing well.

Gotta commend those Bobcats, they played their tails off.

TOSU is overrated. They will find out next weekend when they play USC.

Not overrated, just not much of an offense without Wells. This is a great football team, they just couldn't move the ball, a bit. The second half was much better. It will take a complete game like that and more to beat the Trojans. It was a win, not a great win and not the way you want to win against a team like Ohio.

Had a great time at the game. My boys almost "shocked the shoe".... I honestly believe if not for the special teams mistakes would have. OU played great and OSU got out played for all but about 7 mins of the game, which isnt something I thought I was going to say. I was hoping to just keep it close and not get smoked. Ohio won the battle of the trenches IMO which I didnt expect. Great effort by the Bobcats! Proud Alum this weekend! It was awesome to hear 105,000 plus ppl quiet! Was a real bad smell walking out of the game b/c all the red and gray fans needed a change of undies..... Heres to OHIO playing that well in MAC play. Ohio was picked to finish like 6 or 7th in the MAC, but took the odds on Big 10(11) Fav, and # 3 team to the wire. I will take that every game.
