I'm not sure why anyone would make their decision based on what you have told me.

I can understand that, but I'm not sure why anyone would base their vote on something neither candidate has control over. It just seems weird.

Halfback I just think that they got tired of the media going after the girl, which I personally think is out of bounds. Obama did the right thing by coming out and denouncing it. He had to. His mom had him when she was 18, which meant she was more than likely pregnant at 17 also. Imagine how that made him feel. Unless things are made more even with the media, remember this. Its gonna cost Obama the election. Even the Hillary supporters are on this.

So as I understand, our would-be VP just got her first passport last year? That just reeks of foreign policy experience.

The guy worked for a reputable newspaper for 15 years, yet you assert that he has no credible journalism background. I'm sure he got his job through his political connections ... heck, journalists depend on sources, and I'm sure Matthews developed an extensive network of them in his time in Capitol Hill.

There is nothing wrong with CNN sending a crew out to investigate anything ... rumor or not.

 

I didn't see any reporting of it, which brings to mind two questions. Was it reported? And if it was, was it reported as strictly a rumor?

I would much rather see the actual report and make a judgment for myself than to listen to Bill Bennett's assessment of it. Best I recall, Bennett himself has had an axe to grind with the media over the years.

 

CNN's people were investigating a rumor, which isn't much different than having an anonymous tip called in. Just because you don't think it's credible doesn't mean they don't have a right to check into it.

What qualifies you or anyone else to judge his journalistic credentials? Obviously, the San Francisco Examiner thought he was qualified, based on his 15 years of service as their Washington bureau chief. It wasn't like he was a gofer.

I think it is a bad idea to base your vote on something that neither of the candidates can control.

 

Base your vote on issues, not what the media is reporting.
