The "mainstream" media ran with the story of Palin's daughter's pregnancy before confirmation by Palin.

 

The NYT also attempted an hatchet job on McCain alleging he had an affair with a lobbiest I believe.

 

I need no more evidence of a double standard then that.

Amen on the "louder and more obnoxious" part ... for once, I would like to see Hannity interview someone from the other side without interrupting them.

I watch the news a lot and I don't remember many of the outlets (and I roam the dial) giving any credence to the baby issue.

 

As you can see from a post or two on here some consider what I would call valid questions to be "left wing media" if they don't like that they're asked or understandn why they're asked.

 

I'm saying that I simply don't see true news coverage that is out of line or unfair to Palin. Other than the "kooks" you mentioned , we all agree that the rumor was ugly and without merit but it came to many people's attention online and not on the TV or radio.

I have no problem with her wanting to use FED funds - its her perogative. The issue that seems to be missed here is that she is saying that BECAUSE it came from the FEDS she didn't want it. That appears to not be accurate. As a matter of fact, this money that she didn't want for the bridge because it was from the FEDs was then OK for her to take for other reasons. I'd argue that the MSM has not really delved into this other than the standard "she was for it before she was against it." Most people don't read the details or look into anything.

 

KO is a talking head. If you find their actual "reporters" being unfair then you have an issue. Its like me saying Hannity is unfair despite the fact that he's a talking head/opinion giver.

That is a matter of opinion. Colmes made the assertion on his blog that Palin failed to provide adequate prenatal care for her son Trig because she flew home after her water broke. Palin contacted her doctor and he assured her that it would flying home to deliver the baby would not present a risk to her child.

There is nothing wrong with CNN sending a crew out to investigate anything ... rumor or not.

 

I didn't see any reporting of it, which brings to mind two questions. Was it reported? And if it was, was it reported as strictly a rumor?
