Obama to appear on The Factor this evening

Featured Replies

Following up on his promise to O'Reilly, Obama will be making an appearance on the Factor this evening (2 part interview, other of which will be shown next week).

Very smart move by Obama. It is stupid that many on the far left refuse to go on Fox News. John Kerry even admitted it was a big mistake in his campaign.

I guess it could be good, but it could also turn out very bad. What time is this? If it's anywhere near 7PM, I can't watch .

8 EST.

As Bill loves to brag on himself, he will not ask any "gotcha" type questions. You know the types that come up in threads on the time here on BGP. For example, he will not ask something to the effect, "In 1975 you stated that you supported issue X but shifted on the topic in 1991, why would you do this?"

He will ask simple, fair questions and be called out on it if refuses to answer... which he or any other candidate should be.

Kudos to Obama....

I think Bill will be fair but challenge him. Nothing wrong with that.

I hope the Obama campaign didn't negotiate easy questions in exchange for the interview. On a good day, O'Reilly could rip him apart, but if he is easy on "The One", then he will lose a lot of viewers.

I'm just hoping O'Reilly doesn't make the republicans look bad in some way, sense everyone is convinced he's a Republican spokesman.

I agree, and Bill does a good interview. I think Hillary got a huge benefit from going on his show. It is not smart for the left to not appear on Fox News, they are missing out on at least getting their message out to a large portion of the population.

I can't imagine B.O. agreeing to any conditions. IMO he'll be respectful but will challenge him.

I saw the Bill/Hillary interview and I thought it was more than fair.

I agree. Actually, according to what I read yesterday, that is one of the reasons that Obama agreed to do this is because his people thought O'Reilly was fair to Hillary.

Bill is no fool. If he gets vicious with one he'll never get another one on his show.

O'Reilly rarely asks tough questions of high profile guests. I expect the interview to be a real snooze but I hope that I am wrong.

Obama and Axlerod met with Murdocka and Ailes a few days ago to whine about the coverage that he has received from FNC. Shortly afterward, the O'Reilly interview was announced. I am not optimistic that we will learn much from the O'Reilly interview.

Why would Bill the master of the no spin zone go soft?

And Sen. McCain cancelling his Larry King appearance would be what exactly?
