Not good,it dry up.But we did get one mess of green beans out of it.

The crows took care of the corn (and for some reason Owsley County crows are as big as roosters, at least around my neck of the woods), and the deer had a good appitite too.

Deer ate my tomaters and stomped on my flowers. Ate up all my hastas and impatients. Oh well, its time to break out the Mums and get ready to rake leaves shortly.

Crappy!:irked:My squash and zucchini would just spontaneously die overnight (happened several times) and we only got about 3 good pickings of beans. It was a lot of work for not much this year.

I got some excellent lettuce, tomatoes and zucchini squash. My carrots sucked, no radishes came up, and I lost a patch of casaba melons I had been really looking forward to.

My labs killed a giant gopher, a rabbit, and several birds intent upon free salad bar. Good dogs.

Don't do veggies but my window boxes were the best they have ever been. Hate to water and always have a hard time finding something that will withstand the heat. This year I hit the jackpot. Dragon Wing Begonias have been my savior. They were awsome. They took over the windowbox and bloomed all summer. Heck, I couldn't even see out my window they were so big.:ylsuper:

I don't do a garden at my house but my dad does and we help out.

Corn, tomaotes, potatoes, squash, beans all did well.

the Cantalope was unbelievable, He had just a few plants and they produced nearly 75 cantalopes.

Not so well. The corn isn't very good, and as usual I have too many tomatoes. The sweet, red bell peppers did absolutely nothing all season, and now, for some unknown reason have 6-8 peppers per plant.

The cucumbers were good.

Same here.....strange. I had a great crop of cucumbers....put up around 30 jars of pickles. Tomatoes were good producers too. My zucchini was great in the spring, but when the heat hit ...they died. We also had a garden in the country...didn't get much...the coons ate it all.

My fall garden is looking great.I planted radishes, two kinds of lettuce, two kinds of mustard and turnips. If it doesn't rain I will have to water it soon. Fall cucumbers are drying up.

Were your peppers from seed or plants?

My parent's garden produced plenty of tomatoes. Their cucumbers were the biggest I've ever seen. Their red and green bell peppers did well too. However, they did get a purple one.

A purple pepper? Can't say that I've ever had that happen.

Plants..my parents have a small green house. Get my plants from them...they sow the seed.

Last year the deer probably ate two hundred of my tomatoes. This year we put up a fence made out of deer mesh we bought at Lowes. About $12.00 for a roll 7' tall and 100' long it has done a great job. We haven't done to good a job weeding, but have a good crop of tomatoes, beans, bannana peppers and jalopenos.
