August 30, 200818 yr I like a lot of those mentioned in the above posts but I would add BEASTIE BOYS Creed (yes Jim Schue I said Creed, sue me:D) Collective Soul (yes Jim Schue I said Collective Soul) Cranberries (yes Jim Schue I said Cranberries) RHCP U2 REMRadiohead They're both great; but actually, they're from the 80's. I don't think there are any bands from the 90's that I would call great. And as for Creed and Limp Bizkit, they're "beyond stink." Since we're onto the 90's...

August 30, 200818 yr Yes, I know. But they're from the 80's. They started in the 80's, yes, but what does that have to do with anything??? Their best work was in the 90's so therefore they are "from" the 90's. I'm sure most of the bands that have been listed started in the 80's but had most of their success in the 90's, just like the Beastie Boys.

I dont even know what to classify the Beastie Boys as, I cant tell if they are rap, hardrock, or what. They are very unique just like Sublime was during this time, they did start in the 80's, but really didnt peek till early 90's. With them being so unique i think it would earn them a spot somewhere in at least the top 15 bands of the 90's

September 3, 200818 yr G&R released 2 studio albums in the 80's & 4 in the 90's. They went a total of 15x Platinum in the 80's. They went a total of 15x Platinum in the 90's. 'Welcome To The Jungle', 'Sweet Child O' Mine' & 'Paradise City' were all their hits from the 80's. 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door', 'Civil War' & 'November Rain' were a few hits from them in the 90's.
