August 28, 200818 yr To me, the music in this decade had so much variety, but I was watching VH1 the other night and they did a show on the best songs of the 90's, so I was curious who you all think the best bands were? My List, 1. Nirvana 2. Sublime 3. Rage Against the machine 4. Red Hot Chili Peppers 5. Limp Bizkit 6. Pearl Jam 7. Offspring 8. Third Eye Blind 9. Smashing Pumpkins 10. Dave Matthews band

Dave Matthews band I can agree with everything except Limp Bizkit. You're giving them too much credit, IMO.
August 29, 200818 yr No particular order...... Nirvana Sublime Pantera Alice N' Chains Pearl Jam Stone Temple Pilots Hootie and the Blowfish Tool Radiohead Oasis/Korn/RHCP/Smashing Pumpkins (all tie to make it in the top 10)
August 29, 200818 yr Take out 3rd eye blind, insert Alice in Chains. :thumb: Must include AIC in the list. Rest In Peace Layne Staley, one of the greatest vocalists of all time IMO. Had such a unique sound and sung with so much emotion. Alice N' Chains use of dual vocalization with Staley and Jerry Cantrell is just unbelievable and unmatched by no one. These two made for some great harmonization.
August 29, 200818 yr Third Eye Blind Oasis Nirvana Smashing Pumpkins STP Pearl Jam Live Alice In Chains
August 29, 200818 yr Alice In Chains Guided By Voices Pavement The V-Roys Uncle Tupelo/Wilco/Son Volt Pearl Jam Old 97s Nirvana Stone Temple Pilots The Jayhawks Oasis Dinosaur Jr. Cracker Over The Rhine Afghan Whigs PJ Harvey Smashing Pumpkins Soundgarden Wu-Tang Clan Better Than Ezra Black Crowes Indigo Girls Beastie Boys Bottle Rockets Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies Radiohead The Flaming Lips Morphine Blur Pulp Tribe Called Quest Buffalo Tom The Church Whiskeytown Pretty good list. I was still pretty young in the 90's to fully appreciate the full works of all of those bands but I'm getting there.
August 29, 200818 yr Not real big into the music scene, but here goes... Nirvana Pearl Jam Oasis Dave Matthews Band Live Incubus (I think they were 90s) Sublime Counting Crows Smashing Pumpkins I can't say I can really think of a 10th one that I like.
August 29, 200818 yr My personal favs with my top 10 bolded: Stone Temple Pilots Red Hot Chili Peppers R.E.M. The Smashing Pumpkins Nirvana Pearl Jam Alice in Chains Soundgarden Matchbox Twenty Third Eye Blind Foo Fighters Silverchair Nine Inch Nails Tool Oasis The Counting Crows Black Crowes Blur Radiohead The Verve Green Day Sublime The Flaming Lips Dave Matthews Band Phish Deftones Beck Beastie Boys Guilty Pleasures: Korn (By far the most talented of these two like them or not) Limp Bizkit
August 29, 200818 yr Oooh, forgot about Phish. And there are a few notables that I left off, mostly because I think they did their better work in a different decade. U2, REM, The Pixies, Jane's Addiction, for example. I also tried to keep bands to a threshold of three good albums or more.
