September 10, 200818 yr I'm sorry but they did nothing for Weiland. He joined up with them only months after his last STP tour. If anything, the DeLeo's helped resurrect his career buy getting back together with him and getting him out of that awful, awful band. Don't get me wrong, STP is the far better band, but at the time had reached rock bottom pretty much. When him and the DeLeo's got back together people had already been without STP for so long they were ecstatic they were back, I know I was.

I totally agree, and like him or not, I know a lot of people that would disagree with the statement that Axl sucks.
September 10, 200818 yr Yes far more superior if you were ever in to Duran Duran, Ace of Base, and groups such as that as well. The Black Album is also the album that turned the casual listener onto Metallica and made them fall in love Metallica. Tragically the same day many Metal fans I'm sure committed suicide or also contemplated. Gotta go with Hangman and others on this one hoops. Metallica in the 90's......."sale out", "sold out", now obviously from what I am hearing, trying to buy back. I disagree completely, I thought Load was a great album. Anytime you do something different artistically, you're in danger of losing your fans, which is what Metallica did. I guess Bob Dylan sold out too when he decided to go electric.

All I ever heard when I went over to his house was "they're back together." Techniquely they were not, but all he listened to was the No Quarter album which was released by Page and Plant when they were on tour in the mid 90's.
