How do you like your Subway Sub?

I'm a fan of the footlong meatball marinara with provolone on white bread....toasted. Maybe some banana peppers.

Not toasted on Italian Herbs and Cheese. Steak and Pepperjack with the Southwest Chipotle sauce. Green peppers and extra onions.

 

However, $5 footlong has switched me up. I have been trying some new stuff out.

Spicy Italian, lettuce, cheese and spicy mustard.

Turkey sub on wheat, toasted.

Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, black olives, banana peppers, salt and pepper. (minus the cheese if I'm trying to drop a few pounds.)

 

A close second would be the Spicy Italian sub with banana peppers,black olives and spicy mustard.

 

And you can never go wrong with a plain old pizza sub.

 

I don't eat at subway much anymore. It's delicious but with gas close to 4 dollars a gallon I have a hard time paying 8 to 9 dollars for a meal I could make at home for 3 to 4 dollars.

 

The five dollar foot long menu has gained some of my business back though.

I used to eat Subway on a regular basis in college. I have since been burned out and never really enjoyed Subway that much anyway.

 

I find Firehouse Subs to be 100x better. And PotBelly's is very good, too.

I love the toasted subway melt. Which has turkey, ham and extra bacon and extra cheese with LOTS of Mayo, with a root beer, or mt dew YUMMMM, and baked lays.

12" Chicken & Bacon Ranch on Italian Herb and Cheese. Heated with Lettuce & Pickles. Simple but great.

Jimmy Johns is 1000x better than Subway, but if I'm too lazy to drive out to JJ's or too cheap to give the JJ's driver a tip, I'll go to Subway and get a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Honey Wheat bread....heated but not toasted.

American, lettuce, pickle, onions, green peppers, jalapenos and ranch. Not toasted..

I used to get the Tuna sub everytime. however, after I read that it is by far worse to eat that than a Big Mac, I've switched to the Roast Beef, the healthiest option.
