August 17, 200818 yr It's not just McDonalds..Other places are raising their prices on items...I know the McDonalds in Morehead hasn't had the $1 double cheeseburger in a while.

August 18, 200818 yr They sold too many $1 soda's, they have to make up for it somewhere. Considering those $1 sodas are about .05 to .10 in food and material costs (if my math is right, that's 900-1800 percent profit margin), I find it hard to believe any fast food place really is hurting so bad that they need to bump the cost on their dollar menus. They're just taking advantage of convenient timing, as groceries and everywhere else is jacking up costs.

I would have told them to keep the food, and asked for my money back.

August 18, 200818 yr ^ The Cup is probley what costs them the most. No probably to it. The cup is exactly what costs the most. The syrup is very, very cheap. That's why they don't mind giving you free refills if you use the same cup.
