August 13, 200818 yr Chellsie Memmel of USA gymnastics said today that she competed with a broken ankle... She did the uneven bars in the team competition... I said this in the other thread, but if she had a broken ankle, why wasn't she replaced on the team? I know Peszek was hurt about 30 seconds before prelims began, but Memmel, as far as I can tell, entered Bei Jing with the injury...
