August 12, 200818 yr Elevate, ice, advil. I broke my toe a while ago, and they did tell me to tape the broken toe to a non broken toe, but really only for stability. It does hurt. Mine throbbed like crazy.
August 12, 200818 yr I had the same thing and tried to tape it to another toe, hurt worse than if I left it alone. Good luck HT. How'd you do it? Kicking the TV after the Dunn trade?

August 12, 200818 yr Author Probably stubbed it really hard while drinking and forgot about it. Oh, wait. That's how I broke mine. I had a golf outing and was out till about 2 AM that day so its a possibility.
August 12, 200818 yr OUCH!!! It does hurt bad...I broke the one next to my big toe once. I was chasing PH through the house with a water hose...I know, we were young!!! Anyway, elevate, and tape. That is really the only thing that you can do. It will feel better in a couple of weeks..
August 12, 200818 yr I dropped something really heavy on my foot and broke the big toe. All the doctor did was tape it to the next one. It was difficult to walk; I fell flat on my face a couple of times. Amazing how having only 4 toes(even if only temporarily) affects one's balance. Do you really not remember anything happening to it?
August 12, 200818 yr Make sure that your toe is reduced or at least set in the proper place. Besides causing it to heal awkward, Bone marrow cells can leak out of the broken toe causing a fat emboli and cause some serious problems.
August 12, 200818 yr Your new Delta Tau Chi name is... ...HammerToe (This would have been funnier coming from Bluto )
