August 15, 200818 yr All ten at once!!!:eek::eek: How did that happen? Well, let's just say that I'm the epitome of that particular KY stereotype. :lol: I hate to wear shoes, always have. I was about 12, and playing tag with friends. I was chasing someone outside around the house barefoot, and the sidewalk segements were uneven. I jammed all ten of my toes against the raised segment and broke them all. The best thing was, this was on Good Friday, and I was in the choir and had two days of long masses to stand through and sing. :lol: My mom wouldn't let me "call out". She had no sympathy whatsoever. She told me I should have known better than to go barefoot, and that it would be good for me to suffer a little. :lol: Good thing I was a descant. :lol: That was the most miserable Easter I remember, next to the year I had knee surgery. :creepy:
August 15, 200818 yr Geez, HT--that really sucks. Maybe you will get some good pain meds and get a boost of antibiotics to fight off the infection. I hope you feel better, soon.
August 15, 200818 yr Author Thanks I have had 3 shots on morphine and 3 shot of diladiad (SP?). Looks like i'll be have surgery tomorrow but they aren't sure and still wont let me eat or drink. I haven't had anything since yesterday at about 7. Pretty much sucks.

On the bright side, you have a great story to tell your grandchildren of the time you almost died from an infected toe.

A few more days....some good painkillers....then a few years to let the story grow....next thing you know, you're a hero who fought off a rabid bear while showering when camping and wound up in the hospital with a rabies infected toe that required a 12 hour surgery.

Make sure you follow all their instructions and stay as long as they want you to. MRSA is some really bad stuff.

At the same time, my daughter had on on her leg, on the inside of the calf muscle. Those are crazy hard to get rid of and extremely painful. Thankfully neither were in the hospital with theirs. August 17, 200818 yr Isn't that the one that was going around schools last year? My mother-in-law got MRSA in he hospital.
