I root for all NY teams in part because I grew up there and in part because my dad raised us to root for all NY teams. My dad was an immigrant to the US and, in order to fit in, when he first got to the US and NYC in particular he rooted all the teams. When guys would talk to him at work, he could always relate to them whether they were a Giants or Jets fan. My family has always done this and most folks are like you in that they find it hard to understand until I give them the long explanation. I honestly LOVE all of my NY teams in every sport. I'm rooting for the Subway Superbowl (it doesn't quite fit, I know). Go Giants! Go Jets!

A Giant fan marries a Jet fan, you know? :lol:
